“As an architect, I decided to work in humanitarian aid as I wanted my work to improve people’s lives.”
Meet Veronica Sanchez. She has been working with UK-Med in Rwanda since last June on Ebola preparedness. Now, in collaboration with WHO-EMT Secretariat, her treatment centre design for COVID-19 patients has been adopted by WHO to tackle the pandemic.
Online resources are available here: https://www.who.int/publications-detail/severe-acute-respiratory-infections-treatment-centre. As part of our continued effort to support the COVID response, we are able to provide remote support. For more information or with any questions please contact us on programmes@uk-med.org.
