UK-Med launches new five-year strategy

We’re pleased to launch our five-year strategy for 2021-26. Over the next five years, we need to be ready to respond to the wide range of crises that require medical support.

We developed our 2021-26 strategy over the past year with input and insight from staff, members and supporters.

Over the next five years, we are aiming to provide healthcare for 20,000 people across the world, and train 50,000 staff to be prepared for emergencies. And as disasters become increasingly global, we will work with partners to set high standards of patient care.

It’s an ambitious plan as we set to meet the increasing need that we’re seeing year upon year, and one that’s only made possible thanks to our fantastic members and supporters.

The challenge the world faces in the coming years is huge.

The past two years have been like no other for us all. UK-Med has been receiving more calls than ever before to provide life-saving medical assistance following outbreaks, disasters and conflict.

This year, 1 in 33 people will need help. That number will only grow in an increasingly unstable world facing a climate emergency and the COVID-19 pandemic.

We know we can’t do it alone. Whether you’re a member, a supporter or a partner – we need you on the team. If you are able to support UK-Med today, you can help help us respond rapidly to unpredictable emergencies.

Make a donation today and help to build a world where everyone gets the healthcare they need.
