Fire and Rescue Service (FRS)

A key partner in the delivery of the UKEMT programme, the Fire and Rescue Service provide logistical and WASH support to the deploying Type 2 UKEMT team.

Humanity & Inclusion (HI)

Co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Humanity & Inclusion (HI, formerly known as Handicap International) is an international aid organisation working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. Working alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable populations, HI take action and raise awareness in order to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights.

Humanity & Inclusion is a partner within the UKEMT programme, working closely with UK-Med.  As part of this programme the HI team are leading the development of multi-disciplinary UKEMT specialist cells in Spinal Injury and Rehabilitation.

Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute (HCRI), the University of Manchester

The Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute (HCRI) at the University of Manchester is UK-Med's academic partner. Founded by leading University of Manchester academics, HCRI collaborates with UK-Med on research development and implementation, the delivery of workshops, seminars and training and the sharing of best practice, knowledge and opportunities.
