Community Fundraising

Bring your community together for good

Community fundraising is an amazing way to bring communities together, celebrate the talent and kindness in our local areas, and raise money to make sure that everyone around the world has the healthcare they need when crises strike.

Rotary clubs, schools, and sports teams are just some of the community groups that have organised events to support our work in providing essential healthcare to some of the world’s most vulnerable people.

Be inspired by our fundraising community

Andrew organised the Phoenix Rock fundraiser, featuring young, local bands from around Peebles and Innerleithen in Scotland.

After two years of delays due to COVID-19, the event finally went ahead and over 150 people turned up to show their support. The night was a brilliant way to showcase up-and-coming talents whilst raising money for UK-Med’s vital work.

The fabulous Ava Du Paris hosts regular performance nights in aid of charities.

In May 2022, the event raised £1100 for UK-Med, as well as supporting a local men’s mental health organisation.

Inspired by the work of our NHS doctors and nurses working overseas in Ukraine, Mathew and his colleagues from the West Midlands Ambulance Service took time out of their hectic schedules to support UK-Med and their fellow healthcare workers with a football tournament.

Don’t hesitate to reach out if you want to discuss potential ideas with the team. We’d love to hear about what you get up to!

The world’s your oyster

Other ideas include hosting something more simple like a raffle, coffee morning or a bake sale. Even seemingly small events make a big difference to our work! These are only a few examples of how you can raise thousands of pounds and have fun with your colleagues, friends or place of worship whilst doing it.

Don’t forget to take lots of pictures so that we can share your success on social media and inspire others to get involved!
