Training opportunities this September and November

Nutrition in Emergencies (online)

The purpose of this training is to provide an overview of nutrition in emergencies and gain an understanding of how to identify and treat acute malnutrition in the field.

This online training is split in to four 3-hour live calls. In order to participate, you will need to be able to commit to attending the following four dates:

  • Friday 12th November – 8:30-11:20AM
  • Friday 19th November – 8:30–11:30AM
  • Friday 26th November – 8:30-11:30AM
  • Friday 3rd December – 8:30-11:30AM

Who is this training for?

This training is for register members who do not have experience of nutrition in emergencies and who have completed the online induction training:

  • UK-Med Induction (see how to access the Kaya platform following our instructions on this page)
  • UK EMT Induction  (see how to access the Kaya platform following our instructions on this page)
  • BSAFE

How to apply  

Complete the expression of interest form that can be found here by Monday 19th July. Please note that spaces are limited, and we also need to ensure that there is enough participation for the training to go ahead.

Essential Burns Care (online) 

We are pleased to announce that the Essential Burns Care course, developed by Interburns, will be available online to Register members on Saturday 10th September.

This short course introduces burn injury care in emergencies and how to deal effectively with patients with burns injuries.

Who is this training for?  

This training is for register members who do not have experience of burn care in emergencies and who have completed the online induction training:

  • UK-Med Induction (see how to access the Kaya platform following our instructions on this page)
  • UK EMT Induction  (see how to access the Kaya platform following our instructions on this page)
  • BSAFE

How to apply  

Complete the expression of interest form that can be found here by Monday 19th July. Please note that spaces are limited, and we also need to ensure that there is enough participation for the training to go ahead.

This code is frequently changed so please get in touch ASAP if it doesn’t work.

Doing this will not affect any courses you may have taken already or are in the process of taking, it will merely add another layer to your account on Kaya.
