Are you an experienced finance professional with experience in the charity, NGO or humanitarian field?
UK-Med has grown rapidly over the last few years, increasing our income, impact and diversity of donors and grants. As a key partner on the UK Emergency Medical Team (EMT) we work closely with DFID and the WHO, whilst also growing our own portfolio of programmes. Our work has never been more vital, with disease outbreaks and disasters becoming more frequent, complex and severe.
We are seeking an experienced finance professional, holding or working towards an accounting qualification, with experience of financial operations and planning in a charity, NGO or humanitarian setting. You will have experience of finance coordination and support to, and within, overseas and field operations and understand global health funding and grant management reporting. You will have a good understanding of what an appropriate control environment looks like and be experienced in implementing suitable financial controls and working with accounting software.
In this newly created post, you will support the Head of Finance in the development and delivery of systems to support the successful implementation of our programmes of work. You will work across a portfolio of projects and be a key link for financial management and reporting between HQ and operations in the field. You will deploy overseas in support of our emergency response teams when required.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits along with a friendly working environment and the opportunity to make a real difference through humanitarian work.
