UK-Med is a humanitarian charity that has been responding to disasters for thirty years. We train medical teams, both in the UK and worldwide, so they are ready to respond when epidemics, conflict and natural disasters hit. When Ebola struck West Africa in 2014 we recruited and trained UK doctors and nurses who helped local medical teams and other NGOs to bring the outbreak under control. We are core partners, providing the clinical component and recruiting and training clinicians for the UK Emergency Medical Team (UK EMT) in line with WHO standards. We are seeking an experienced trainer / adult-educator to join us to cover maternity leave for our Training & Capacity Building Manager to make a significant contribution to the success of our ambitious strategic plan.
As Training & Capacity Building Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of a programme of training to prepare clinicians for joining humanitarian health responses overseas, and support our work working in partnership with national health systems to build their capacity.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits along with a friendly working environment and the opportunity to make a real difference through humanitarian work.
Application is by CV and covering letter – please see the Candidate Information Pack – UK-Med Training Capacity Building Manager for full details of what to include in your covering letter and how to submit your application.
Applications must be submitted no later than Tuesday 21st January 2020.
Please note, UK-Med can only accept applications from people with an existing legal right to work in the UK and we cannot sponsor visa applications.
