Deputy Team Lead – Gaza

Role: Team Lead – Gaza

Hours: Full time, with some weekend and evening working required to support the humanitarian programme delivery

Pay: £4250 –£5,000 GBP gross per month (dependent on experience)

Duration: Till 31st of December 2024 (funding pipeline dependent), with potential extension

Location: Gaza, with some travel to Cairo, Egypt

We are seeking a Deputy Team Lead for our Gaza programme. In this vital position, you’ll work closely under the Team Lead’s direction, playing a key role in the operational management and delivery of our programmatic activities. You’ll ensure effective day-to-day management, coordination, and leadership of the field team, empowering them to meet their objectives in a complex, dynamic, and uncertain environment.

Your role encompasses supporting the Gaza Team Lead in managing programme implementation, overseeing project plans, assessing progress, and applying corrective actions aligned with strategic objectives and UK-Med’s quality standards. You’ll collaborate closely with the Team Lead and Medical Coordinator, facilitating seamless coordination among programme and support teams, ensuring clear communication regarding programming plans, and enhancing team resilience in response to the evolving context.

In addition to delivering comprehensive reports and assessments, you’ll share responsibilities with the Team Lead for key partnerships and representation, conduct programme evaluations for continuous learning and improvement, and stay informed of the security, political, and legal landscape. During absences of the Team Lead, you will step in to ensure continuity of leadership and programme success.
