Hours: Part-time (60% of full-time)
Remuneration: £30,000 – £35,000 pro rata (£18,000 – £21,000 for 60% of full-time)

We are seeking a skilled candidate to support charity governance, review contracts and other legal documents, and on non-complex matters, develop administrative systems and processes, and manage travel arrangements. Our new Governance, Legal and Office Manager will play a key role in both in managing our governance and head office administration and supporting planning and operations for emergency humanitarian responses and programme delivery.
You will provide support to the Director of Support Services by ensuring that robust governance processes are maintained, decisions are taken at the appropriate level and are appropriately documented and communicated. You will also ensure seamless administrative systems, particularly for head office but also in support of our warehouses and overseas teams. You will work in partnership with HR colleagues, operations team and technical experts in health and logistics to ensure effective movement around the world of health professionals and volunteers who deliver our field operations. You will line manage the Travel and Office Assistant and coordinate our travel management service providing guidance and support to the development of policies and systems, reviewing SLAs and contracts to ensure donor compliance, and problem solving to ensure effective mobilisation of staff during challenging periods of international travel.
Our ideal candidate will be passionate about UK-Med’s humanitarian mission. You will have qualifications and significant experience working in charity governance, legal, office management or administration and experience of travel planning / booking. You will be comfortable working at a pace to achieve challenging objectives and meeting rapidly changing demands.
