Learning and Capacity Building Administrator

Are you an independent and detail-oriented administrator who would like to make a difference in a small and busy team with a varied portfolio?

Salary:  £18,000 – £22,000 gross annual dependent on experience

Hours:  Full-time (Some weekend and evening work may be required to support training delivery)

Duration:  Fixed term contract from 31 March 2022 (with possible extension depending on funding)

Location:  UK-Med Office, Manchester, UK with some home-working

 

Humanitarian health needs are growing. UK-Med are seeking a skilled administrator with the ability to support the important work of preparing our medical teams for humanitarian responses as well as skills to support follow-up activities. Our medical teams respond to disasters around the world and we work with local emergency teams to build their resilience to future threats. Our work has never been more vital, with disasters becoming more frequent, complex and severe. Can you help build a world prepared to help?

As our new Learning and Capacity Building Administrator you will play an important role in ensuring that the Learning & Capacity Building Team is able to deliver our responsibilities to the wider organisation. You will support coordination efforts when ensuring that our Register of about 1000 medical and non-medical international responders are effectively trained and prepared for a response overseas. You will bring broad administrative expertise, the ability to manage your own workload, maintain and update complex records and communicate effectively with both colleagues and Register members.

Our ideal candidate will be passionate about UK-Med’s humanitarian mission and be excited about supporting the Learning & Capacity Building Team’s.  You will support both in-person and online training as well as collating Monitoring and Evaluation materials from training and emergency responses. You will be an efficient administrator who is used to working with record-keeping, updating databases, Learning Management Systems, busy email accounts, and supporting on finance administration tasks.

You will be comfortable working at pace and thrive on achieving your own as well as our collective objectives and meeting rapidly changing demands. Experience working in training administration is an advantage but not essential.
