Logistics Coordinator – Gaza

Role: Logistics Coordinator – Gaza

Hours: Full time, with some weekend and evening working required to support the humanitarian programme delivery

Pay: £4200 – £4500 GBP gross per month (dependent on experience)

Duration: Till 31st of December 2024 (funding pipeline dependent), with potential extension

Location: Gaza with travel to Cairo, Egypt and Amman, Jordan

Candidates must be able to travel quickly through Egypt and Jordan, securing visas on arrival with eligible documentation. If you do not meet this requirement, you can join our register of humanitarian and health professionals for other opportunities.

We are seeking for a Logistics Coordinator who will need to be deployed to Gaza, our ideal candidate will be experienced humanitarian logisticians who understand what it takes to set up a humanitarian medical response in a new context.

Our Log Cos need to be able to set up and run a comprehensive in country logs system in contexts where we do not have an existing country office.

You will be capable of managing a generalist set of logistics activities, including transport, procurement, supply chain, warehousing site management etc.  You will be a skilled manager and supervisor, able to get the best out of staff, contractors and partners.  You will be used to working in insecure environments.  You will be able to work well with other stakeholders and will be willing to deploy either as a stand-alone logistician supporting a small team, or as the leader of a larger logistics team.

You will be determined, high performing, compassionate and collaborative, as well as being committed to learning and supporting others to learn.  Language skills will be an advantage.
