WASH Engineer – Gaza

Role: WASH Engineer (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) – Gaza

Hours: Full time, with some weekend and evening working required to support the humanitarian programme delivery

Pay: £4200 – £4500 GBP gross per month (dependent on experience)

Duration: Till 31st of December 2024 (funding pipeline dependent), with potential extension

Location: Gaza with travel to Cairo, Egypt and Amman, Jordan

Candidates must be able to travel quickly through Egypt and Jordan, securing visas on arrival with eligible documentation. If you do not meet this requirement, you can join our register of humanitarian and health professionals for other opportunities.

We are seeking for a WASH Engineer to be available to deploy to Gaza, you will be responsible for the identification, design, implementation, monitoring and reporting on the progress of community construction and rehabilitation projects in the assigned districts.  S/he is Responsible for day-to-day field management, supervision, and provision of regular technical backstopping to WASH and Community projects.

Our ideal candidate will be experienced WASH Engineer who have demonstrable understanding of supporting in ensuring the quality and effectiveness of programming in accordance with grant proposal and guidelines.

You will have proven experience of ensuring implementation and successful completion of WASH related construction/rehabilitation projects or components as assigned by line manager.

You will be determined, high performing, compassionate and collaborative, as well as being committed to learning and supporting others to learn.  Language skills will be an advantage.
