Trauma Recovery: Working together to deliver life and limb-saving health care in Ukraine

Join us to improve patient outcomes in the ongoing war in Ukraine

We’re coming together to improve patient outcomes for war related trauma injuries in Ukraine – and we want you to take part. Our two-day conference is organised around both our current experience in Ukraine and planning for the future, and will focus on several issues that include:

Case management and post-operative care

Maximising the use of national and international resources

Capacity building of clinical staff

Developing responsibilities and care pathways

Event details

Since the commencement of the conflict, all levels of the healthcare system in Ukraine have been facing an overwhelming number of complex cases. The sheer volume of trauma cases alone is beyond the capability of any normal health system’s ability to cope. 80% of survivors have extremity injuries and these are often the most recoverable injured cohort.

Joined by over 100 participants from the Ukraine Ministry of Health and Ministry of Defence, international organisations, UN agencies and INGOs, national NGOs, donor governments, health institutes and key professional bodies, the conference will bring together current clinical and leadership experience in Ukraine and expertise from national and international bodies.
