UK-Med / Use Your Voice

Community speakers

Are you passionate about UK-Med and want to help spread the word?

We are recruiting speakers to help us raise awareness of our work. Talks could be given at schools, workplaces, community groups, hospitals or anywhere people would be interested in hearing about our work.

We’ll provide you with training session including public speaking tips, as well as a template presentation.

Register your interest in attending a community speaker training session by emailing fundraising@uk-med.org

Would you like a UK-Med speaker at your event?

We have a network of volunteers across the UK who are passionate about our work and would be delighted to come and speak to your workplace, club or school about UK-Med’s lifesaving work.

Many of our speakers have responded to emergencies with us and have experienced first-hand how important our mission is.

Please get in touch with our team by emailing fundraising@uk-med.org to book a Community Speaker.

Volunteering

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer volunteer opportunities or internships at UK-Med.

All vacancies and job opportunities at UK-Med Headquarters are published on our website

We recommend regularly checking our website for upcoming roles that may align with your interests and background and following us on LinkedIn.

Join our Community of Practice

If you prefer to receive the latest news and updates from UK-Med without becoming a registered member, we invite you to join our Community of Practice. This will allow you to stay informed about our initiatives, projects, and activities.

Student groups

Are you a student looking to get involved with UK-Med? You could set up a UK-Med student group at your university like students at The University of Manchester did. The group has been involved in planning informative panel discussions as well as hosting social fundraising events, all to raise awareness of UK-Med’s lifesaving work across the world.

Setting up a student group gives you valuable organizational experience for your future, and UK-Med will provide you with an insight into a frontline medical aid NGO.
