Philanthropy

You can drive our life-saving work

Whether you’re donating as individual, via your company or as a trust and foundation, we’d love to partner with you.

Donations from individuals and organisations have helped us:

Be on the ground within hours of an emergency

£20,000 enabled us to respond rapidly when Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica. We were on the ground within 72 hours of the hurricane making landfall. We were then able to raise further funds from the UK government, helping 2,262 people get the healthcare they needed over a six-week response.

Stay for as long as we’re needed

£100,000 from our supporters has kept our Ukraine programme running in 2025/26, standing firm and helping provide over 60,000 healthcare consultations for people living near the frontline of the conflict.

Work independently and help where the need is greatest – responding to forgotten emergencies and reaching the most vulnerable

£30,000 funded an advance team to set up a project in Tawila, Darfur, Sudan – a place largely out of the headlines but where hundreds of thousands of people are sheltering after feeling violence in other parts of the region. UK-Med is establishing a facility to treat children with infectious diseases such as malaria, measles and acute watery diarrhoeal diseases, alongside essential services for pregnant women including a delivery and baby resuscitation area.

Why support UK-Med?

  • UK-Med is a frontline medical aid charity founded on the values and expertise of the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).
  • For more than 30 years we’ve been working towards a world where everyone gets the healthcare they need when emergencies hit.
  • During emergencies, international team members work alongside national colleagues to deliver safe, skilled and compassionate care in the most challenging conditions. NHS professionals bring their learning back to the UK, strengthening national resilience.
  • We were the first UK organisation to be verified by the World Health Organization as an Emergency Medical Team (EMT), a global mark of quality, trust and readiness to respond to emergencies within 24-48 hours.
  • Our Prepare. Respond. Learn model acts as a bridge between immediate emergency aid and preparing for the next emergency. It’s how we turn the experience of crisis into readiness, readiness into hope, and hope into action

“It can make you feel helpless to see so much suffering on the news.

But I’ve seen for myself the difference partnerships with philanthropists can make – ensuring UK-Med’s dedicated clinicians can provide life-saving medical care to people caught in crises around the world.

Your gift funds more than emergency healthcare, it ensures dignity, solidarity, compassion.

If you’d like to put your values into action, let’s chat. Collaboration is the core of everything we do.

Your donation will save lives in the world’s toughest emergencies.”
